Business Examiner is a comprehensive media company dedicated

Foundational to BE is the bi-weekly print journal, serving more

BE Daily e-news reports are delivered to opt-in subscribers every
weekday afternoon free of charge, keeping South Sound businesses up

The BE produces five Leadership Recognition Programs to highlight
and celebrate leading individuals and companies in our region. Top
Places to Work, Health Care Champions, 40 Under Forty, Women of

South Sound Business Report, the BE's television program created in
partnership with Clover Park Technical College, shares the stories

Alliance for Clean Technology & Sustainability
Sprouted from the Creative Cities initiative and the City of
Tacoma's Green Ribbon Task Force, recommendations to formulate
TacomaACTS (Alliance for Clean Technology and Sustainability)
emerged. The goal is to create a voluntary pact among Pierce county
employers to take action to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions
and to work together to help meet the community-wide goal of
creating a vibrant sustainable economy.
Businesses are in a unique and powerful position to reduce climate
pollution - not only from their own operations, but also from their
suppliers, customers, and employees. In joining TacomaACTS, Pierce
County employers are committing to taking action that will:
Reduce their greenhouse gas emissions while cutting operating
costs
Better their employees' work environment
Improve their record of corporate responsibility
In exchange for joining TacomaACTS, businesses will receive a host
of benefits, including technical assistance such as a Peirce County
specific Greenhouse Gas (GHG) tool, access to utility incentive
programs, free technical advice, walk through audits from our
partner committee, networking amongst sustainable business leaders
and recognition for being a sustainable business leader in our
community.
